PeriCor Therapeutics has the rights to a platform of four potential cardioprotective compounds, all of which have entered human clinical trials. Our initial efforts have focused on completing development of acadesine in the setting of CABG surgery. Now that we have granted Schering-Plough global rights to acadesine under an exclusive license, the company plans to pursue a variety of life-cycle management strategies for its compounds to extend both the range of their commercial application and the length of their commercial lives.
